Bobby Brown Says Bobbi Kristina ‘Is Awake,’ Family Source Denies Claim
Bobby Brown told concertgoers on April 18 that his daughter Bobbi Kristina “is awake” nearly three months after her hospitalization.
“Bobbi is awake,” Brown told the crowd at a Frankie Beverly concert in Texas where he was performing. “She's watching me.”
A source close to the family told "Extra" that there has been no change in Bobbi Kristina's condition since she entered the hospital.
It is unclear what Brown really meant about his 22-year-old daughter's condition, and mixed reports on Bobbi Kristina's condition are being shared by family members.
Brown's sister Tina posted on her Facebook, "[Bobbi] woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):) God is good!! thanks for your prayers, still a process, but she is going to be ok :):):):)," reported TMZ, yet another Brown family source told People magazine that Bobbi Kristina has yet to wake up from the medically induced coma.
“As far as I know, there's been no change,” the source revealed. “We're still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle. We are leaving it in God's hands.”
Brown has been by his daughter's bedside since she was discovered unresponsive in her bathtub at her Atlanta home on January 31. His daughter was recently moved to a long-term rehab care facility in Atlanta, but little has been revealed about Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition or her life in the treatment center.
The 46-year-old father recently opened up to a crowd at the Soul Food Festival for the first time about Bobbi Kristina, saying, "I wanna thank all of y'all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family," Brown said after he performed at the event. "Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now, but I'm giving it to God.”
