Drew Barrymore & Will Kopelman: Divorce Does Not 'Take Away from Us Being a Family'
In an exclusive statement to People magazine, divorcing couple Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman insist their split is amicable.
They say, "Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family. Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on."
They also emphasize the importance of their children — Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1: "Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
According to a source, People reports, the couple is working out living arrangements, and is likely to stay in NYC.
