Rachel Lindsay Loves Pilot Pete as ‘The Bachelor,’ Plus: Her Plans for Starting a Family
Rachel Lindsay is talking “The Bachelor,” married life with Bryan Abasolo, and her new MTV show “Ghosted: Love Gone Missing.”
“Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with Rachel, who shared her thoughts on Peter “Pilot Pete” Weber being named the new Bachelor.
Rachel explained, “I think Peter is fantastic and I think the key to being a good bachelor is being able to pull out emotions from other people, and he just seems to be so open and vulnerable — so I think he will do a good job at that.”
“It's no secret that I have been a huge proponent for Mike Johnson being the Bachelor, so I would be remiss if I didn't say I'm disappointed that he is not the Bachelor. I thought this was a great opportunity to have the first black bachelor.”
Mike Johnson Reacts to Not Being Chosen for 'The Bachelor'
View StoryRachel just tied the knot with husband Bryan Abasolo in Cancun last month. She told Renee, “That's my husband… that's my favorite thing to say now, and when he says 'wife,' I just melted.”
Lindsay said her wedding was perfect!
“I just wanted people to have fun,” she said. “I wanted people to celebrate us and to see in real time our love. Guests partied until 2 a.m.! “It was a rager — people jumped into the pool, Bryan left in house shoes, it was a good time.”
Will they start a family soon? She revealed, “I definitely want to have children, so does he. I just don't know how soon… Sooner than later… It will probably be an 'oops!' baby,” explaining, “We're not preventing it — if it happens, it happens.”
Lindsay is also hosting “Ghosted,” about people looking for former friends and lovers who cut off communication.
Rachel told Renee, “This is an epidemic that everyone is talking about but no one is really doing anything about, and it's almost becoming accepted.”
“Ghosted: Love Gone Missing” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
