Taraji P. Henson Shows Off Major Cleavage on Oscars 2017 Red Carpet

“Hidden Figures” star Taraji P. Henson looked lovely in blue velvet as she made her way down the Oscars red carpet.

The “Hidden Figures” beauty's own figure was anything but hidden as she posed for pictures in her floor-length, off-shoulder gown, showing off a toned leg with its high slit and offering eye-catching cleavage. The Alberta Ferretti gown was complemented by a blinding Nirav Modi diamond necklace from their Luminance collection, the designer's Evergreen Emerald Ring, Jimmy Choo shoes and Jimmy Choo bag. Taraji's hair was soft, wavy and romantic, with a side part that fell into tousled waves that framed her beautifully glammed face.

Taraji spoke to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet about how the “Hidden Figures” story made her feel. “When Ted Melfi, our director, sent me the script, I read it and I immediately got upset because I felt a dream had been stolen from me,” she said. “I don't even care how much I was getting paid. It didn't matter. It became a passion project for me.” She continued, “Projects like this don't come along often. You know you have something special by page 10. I didn't know these women existed. I grew up in a time where math and science was for boys, so I chose the seats in the back of the classroom when it came to math and science because that was the understanding.”

What did Henson think about the women portrayed in the film and their courage? “What resonated for me about the women, we know about the obstacles that were stacked up against. They never complained. That to me is a selfless hero. I'm not doing it for the accolades... I'm doing it because I love what I do. These women changed the course of history because they didn't let these obstacles get in the way and they focused on solutions.”

Henson is presenting an award tonight, and “Hidden Figures” is up for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture. Co-star and close friend Octavia Spencer is up for Best Supporting Actress.
