Kate Gosselin Reveals What Her Kids Want from Their Dad

In a new interview with “Dr. Oz,” reality star Kate Gosselin opened up about raising her eight kids alone.

After her split from Jon Gosselin in 2009, Kate became an instant single mom to their kids — Collin, Cara, Hannah, Alexis, Madelyn, Joel, Leah and Aaden. As for what the kids want nowadays, she shared (via Us Weekly), "They want a dad who's there for them."

She went on, “If I'm gonna be really honest, there was kind of the old Jon and the new Jon and none of us can quite understand, like, what happened there. So we struggled together. I mean, they coined it years ago: 'old Daddy' and 'new Daddy.' That's understandable, but, like, hard to kind of digest for all of us.”

Last month, Kate told “Extra” that she supported her kids' relationship with Jon, even though she chooses not to communicate with him. She commented, "I support the kids and their relationship [with him] — some visit, some choose not to, some visit sometimes. I support them and what they want so they can be happy and whole.” Watch!
