Jennifer Lopez Obtains Restraining Order Against Stalker
Jennifer Lopez is taking action to protect herself and her twins against someone who has allegedly been stalking her for months.
The legal documents filed January 3 give J.Lo and her kids Max and Emme a temporary restraining order against Timothy McLanahan.
The docs claim that he has driven past her property, entered her property without permission, followed her to her shows in Las Vegas and demanded to see her, and that he continues to send mail and flowers.
As first reported by TMZ, the suspect allegedly has a history of violence, with prior arrests for making threats and firearm violations. In the past, police were notified of the harassment, and McLanahan was told by LAPD not to make any form of contact with Lopez.
The restraining order restricts McLanahan from coming within 100 yards of Lopez, Max, Emme, Lopez's home and workplaces, including performance locations, the children's school and their day care.
Though the court document lists Washington as a place of residence for McLanahan, Jennifer's bodyguard wrote that the suspect is a transient and always on the move.
