Brody Jenner & Kaitlynn Carter Split
Reality star Brody Jenner, 35, and wife Kaitlynn Carter, 30, have called it quits after a year of marriage.
TMZ reports that the two went their separate ways after they couldn't see eye-to-eye on a legal marriage and a baby.
According to the outlet, Brody and Kaitlynn never got a marriage license in the States after their wedding ceremony in Indonesia last year.
She has reportedly moved out of the home they once shared.
Brody recently stepped out with his boys — but without his wedding ring.
Just last month, Brody opened up about starting a family with Kaitlynn in the near future while promoting the new “The Hills” reboot. He told “Extra” at our Levi's studios in Times Square, “I do want kids eventually. Right now, my schedule is really crazy with music stuff… waiting for that to slow down. You always say you're not ready for kids, so it'll happen sooner or later.”
He added, “I think I would be a good dad.”
Kaitlynn is also a cast member on “The Hills” reboot, so we'll have to see how their split plays out on the show.
In happier times, Brody told People magazine about their four-day wedding celebration, “We're excited to celebrate spending the rest of our lives together... Hopefully not too much changes. But having the ring and the commitment, that's really exciting.”
One high-profile no-show at the wedding was Jenner's parent, Caitlyn Jenner. The trans activist went to Kaitlynn's bridal shower two months before the wedding, but skipped the wedding in favor of appearing at the 25th and final Life Ball gala in Vienna, Austria, an event crowded with celebrities that raised money and awareness for the HIV/AIDS cause.
Brody and Kaitlynn met at a party in 2013, moved in together, and Jenner proposed in 2016 at the same resort where they traded vows. Jenner previously dated Lauren Conrad in 2007, leading to his casting on Season 2 of "The Hills."
The split comes just weeks after Brody's brother Brandon finalized his divorce from ex-wife Leah. According to the court papers, they will share joint legal and physical custody of daughter Eva, 4. Brandon will also pay $2,000 a month in spousal support until the end of 2021, plus another $2,000 per month in child support until Eva turns 18. As for their assets, they will split their gold coin collection and royalties from indie pop group, Brandon & Leah. He also agreed to pay Leah more than $500,000 to take over their Malibu home.
