The new CBS show from Warner Bros. Television follows Kara Zor-El (aka Kara Danvers), who was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped amid its destruction years ago.
Since arriving on Earth, she's been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. Now 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was destined to be.

Her costume was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designed costumes for “The Flash” and “Arrow,” and whose motion picture credits include Oscars for her work on “Alice in Wonderland,” “Memoirs of a Geisha” and “Chicago.”
Atwood said in a statement, “In designing Supergirl, I wanted to embrace the past, but more importantly, thrust her into the street-style action hero of today.”
Production on the pilot begins this week!
