Adele Cracks Up on 'SNL,' Addresses Weight Loss and Loving Drama
A vivacious Adele hosted "SNL" Saturday night in her first major appearance since losing "something like 100 lbs."... and the audience members weren't the only ones laughing!
In her last sketch, Adele, flanked by Heidi Gardner and Kate McKinnon, was in character as a sex-crazed divorcée in Africa when she completely lost her cool, breaking up over her suggestive lines.
It wasn't a total shock that Adele cracked up considering she started the show in high spirits. During her monologue, the svelte superstar, radiant in black — and rocking long locks — cheekily addressing her hotly anticipated new album, by saying, "I know there's a lot of chatter about me being the host. Like, 'Why is she not the musical guest?' and stuff like that. Well, there's a couple of reasons: My album's not finished, and I'm too scared to do both. I'd rather just put on wigs, have a glass of wine or six, and see what happens!"
Addressing her new look, Adele also said, "I know I look different than when you last saw me, but because of the COVID restrictions and the travel ban, I had to travel light and I could only bring only half of me... and this is the half I chose!" She curtsyed her appreciation as the crowd applauded.

During the course of the episode, Adele played a restless ghost, a frustrated grandchild, an "Ass Angel Jeans" model, and herself as a contestant on "The Bachelor." As a rose-seeking wannabe, Adele sent up her propensity for drama, taking every opportunity to belt out one of her iconic hits.
Online, fans continued to talk about Adele's appearance on the show, as well as her new appearance.
Adele's former trainer Camila Goodis recently weighed in on her figure, telling “Extra's” Billy Bush, “I do believe she changed her lifestyle… she really changed her diet. There is no miracle exercise that can make you look like you lost a lot of weight.”
Reports claim Adele is on the Sirtfood Diet, which focuses on foods that increase certain proteins in the body that regulate the metabolism, inflammation, and more.
An insider recently opened up on Adele's workout routine, telling E! News, “She goes to different gyms. She goes early in the morning and meets with her trainer. She gets her workout in first thing. She works out for about an hour and leaves drenched in sweat and looking like she worked very hard.”
Another source added, “She's also staying active going on walks and getting in a lot of steps. She is in a groove. She looks great and has totally transformed her body. She is barely recognizable and is continuing to lose weight.”
