Jeremih Released from Hospital After COVID-19 Battle
Singer Jeremih — who had battled COVID-19 — was finally released from a hospital Friday, and is telling fans, "I'm getting stronger."
The performer left Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago with his mom at his side, TMZ reports. He had been hospitalized for a month, including spending time on a ventilator, with rumors swirling that his condition was grave.
In a statement, Jeremih said, "First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful."
He went on, "I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. A special thanks to Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent and Diddy for their love and support."
50 Cent had, at one point, asked fans to pray for Jeremih, who thanked those who answered the call.
"I would like to thank all my fans and people around the world who prayed for me. I'm getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons."
