“Extra” has an exclusive first look at the trailer for Jennifer Siebel Newsom's new documentary “The Great American Lie.”
The trailer paints a picture of great disparity in the U.S. between the upper and lower classes while exposing the roots of systemic inequality.
Jennifer, wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, does provide some hope, with empathy and compassion as a means to turn things around.
This is Newsom's third documentary in a trilogy that includes “Miss Representation” and “The Mask You Live In.”
“The Great American Lie” opens in theaters and will be available on demand and digital October 2.
