Chris Pratt Talks Katherine’s Pregnancy and Jokes About Cravings, Plus: How to Nab a ‘Jurassic’ Role
Chris Pratt is opening up to “Extra's” Billy Bush in his first TV interview since news broke he is going to be a dad again.
Pratt opened up about life in quarantine with his pregnant wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, and revealed how fans can nab a role in his new movie “Jurassic World: Dominion.”
Joking about pregnancy cravings, Chris told Billy, “It's been tough. Pickles and ice cream... I never thought I would like 'em.”
On a serious note, he shared, “Can I be honest with you? I found myself complaining the other day about a little bit of low back and hip pain and how in quarantine I've gained a little weight… and she just looked at me sweetly. I was like… 'Oh, right, right, I don't really get to complain about that to you right now, do I?'”
Katherine has stepped in as his barber during quarantine, and they shared the results on Instagram.
“I was like 'Castaway' about three days ago, but Katherine ripped out the buzzer, the clippers and I had to just take it down… She did a pretty good job, she's good. Everyone's like, 'All right, Katherine, you need to do my hair,' and I'm like, 'I don't think you understand how this quarantine works — she's not coming to your house to do your hair.'”
Chris is missing one of his favorite pastimes during the pandemic: golf. In fact, he had a trophy right behind him in the interview and revealed, “I was golfing with Tiger," adding, "Oh, hold on, let me pick that up real quick, that name I just dropped… I don't think I contributed anything to that victory, but I did get to take home a trophy, which is pretty sweet.”
Pratt also brought Bush up to speed on “Jurassic World: Dominion,” which he was shooting when the COVID-19 crisis began. Chris said, “We were less than a month into filming. We had three different units working all around the world… We were moving forward and then this COVID hit. We shut down production and waited it out and thought, 'Let's just wait a couple of weeks,' and like the rest of the world we realized it was going to be a little longer than that. We shut down production, or paused production at least, and I was able to come home to L.A.”
