“Superstore” actress America Ferrera is the mom of a baby girl!
On Mother's Day, Ferrera revealed that she had given birth to her second child with husband Ryan Piers. Along with a photo of the baby's hand, she wrote on Instagram, “LUCIA MARISOL WILLIAMS arrived on May 4th to give me my Mother's Day hugs and kisses herself. Mama, Dada & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family.”
Piers also shared his own post, saying, “The most exquisite little creature graced us with her presence on May 4, 2020. Please meet the newest member of our family, Lucia Marisol Williams. She came just in time for Mother's Day. Everyone is healthy and happy!"

The couple are also parents to son Sebastian, who is celebrating his 2nd birthday this month.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, America was unable to have an in-person baby shower. She shared, “Quarantine may have canceled her Baby Shower but it didn't stop us from collecting and delivering essential supplies to #YesWeCanMobileSchools - spaces for moms and children at the border to learn, play, and stay safe through these hard times.”
Just weeks before she welcomed Lucia, America celebrated her 36th birthday with a Zoom birthday party that Ryan organized. She posted on Instagram, “My sneaky and dear husband @ryanpierswilliams surprised me with a zoom birthday party yesterday! I have to be honest, I've seen a million of these posted and thought 'how could that be fun?' But as you can see from these pictures, I was completely overwhelmed with joy & love!"
She added, “I had no idea how much I wanted to be with my community and to see the faces I love so much! @ryanpierswilliams you turned my quarantine birthday into one of the most joyous and memorable! You filled me with love and cake and ended it with a virtual dance party!! You are the best."
America announced she was expecting in January. At the time, she debuted her baby bump, writing, “Welcoming Baby #2 in 2020! 🥰 Happy New Year from our wild & growing bunch.”
It looks like the photo was taken in Big Bear, according to photographer Michelle Nicholle.
In 2018, America opened up about how parenthood has changed her life. She told Health, “It's absolutely changed us as individuals. It changes what we talk about and what we focus on. For so long, it's been just the two of us, and we've had an amazing life together.”
“I don't know that either one of us could anticipate how much we love him and how it makes everything new again,” America emphasized. “We've traveled to many wonderful places, and we've seen many things — and just getting to imagine that somewhere down the line everything that we've already done and seen, Baz will be seeing for the first time... it's amazing.”
