First Pic! ‘Glee’ Actor Max Adler Welcomes Baby Boy

“Glee” actor Max Adler, 34, is a dad for the first time!

On Friday, Adler's wife Jennifer gave birth to a baby boy, who they named Dylan Remington.

Max shared a photo of their bundle of joy, writing on Instagram, “My wife and his champion warrior Goddess of a mother, gave birth to him in the midst of a global pandemic, and a day after finding out her mother passed way suddenly and unexpectedly. So so so much love and respect and admiration for her, and for all mothers out there.”

As for welcoming a baby amidst the coronavirus pandemic, Max told Page Six, "We were very worried about giving birth during these scary, fearful, uncertain and trying times in the world. Both mentally/emotionally on behalf of our son, and logistically regarding what might happen at the hospital when we arrived on the day.”

Along with thanking the medical staff at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, Max noted that he was by Jennifer's side when she gave birth. He said, "We were aware, per friends and per the Internet, that many hospitals nationwide were no longer allowing spouses to enter the hospital and be present for the birth which terrified us. The thought of my wife having to go through labor on her own or me being stuck outside without knowing what was happening or being in the room to support her was frightening but everyone reassured us that I would be allowed in as this particular hospital had invoked a one person rule, and the delivering mother was allowed to bring one person in the room with her.”

Earlier this month, the pair celebrated their son's anticipated arrival at a baby shower.

Max, who played Dave Karofsky on “Glee,” announced they were expecting in January. At the time, he told People magazine, “Everyone is very excited for us and can't wait to meet our son. We have been given lots of great advice, offers to babysit and so many wonderful and generous hand-me-downs to help us get started on this exciting journey.”

During Jennifer's pregnancy, Max was more than attentive. She gushed, “He gives great massages, cooks delicious and healthy meals and got me a prenatal massage for the holidays. And if I need to pick anything up from off the floor, he will jump up and grab it for me!”

Adler pointed out, “I love when sometimes I cook a certain meal and [Jennifer] tells me that the baby is moving around a lot and she thinks he enjoys it. That's pretty exciting and fun! Or if I put certain music on or sing to him in her belly, she feels lots of movement and that brings a big smile to my face.”
