Jill Duggar Breaks from Family Tradition in a Big Way

Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard are breaking from family tradition!
Jill just announced that her oldest son Israel, 4, will attend public school in the fall. It is a surprise move, since Jill and her 18 siblings were homeschooled by mom Michelle and followed a religious curriculum.

Her brother Josh's children are also homeschooled. Meanwhile her other nieces and nephews aren't old enough for school yet.
Duggar posted a photo of Israel along with the caption, “Look who's registered for kindergarten… How did you feel when your first went off to kindergarten? Any tips?”
Derick also shared a family pic, including little brother Samuel, 2.

The family also shared the news on their website, writing, “We have already been homeschooling him some, but decided it would be fun to let him go to kindergarten this year. It's extra special because it's the same school district Derick enrolled in over 25 years ago.”
