Reality Star Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid Welcomes First Child at 46

“Shahs of Sunset” star Mercedes “MJ” Javid is a first-time mom!

On Wednesday, the 46-year-old welcomed her son Shams Francris Feight with husband Tommy Feight. Their bundle of joy weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz., Page Six reports.

Her rep told the site after she gave birth via C-section, saying, “Mom and baby are doing great. The baby is happy and healthy.”

The baby's name was in honor of her father Shams, who died last year.

Javid has documented her difficult pregnancy. Two months ago, she revealed that she was hospitalized in December after her cervix “measured too short,” which is considered a “high risk” for a miscarriage.

Last year, she opened up about her struggles to get pregnant, telling Us Weekly, “The truth is that I have a lot of ups and downs, moment to moment, especially on the hormones from IVF stuff. You retain a lot of water. You feel really great one moment and then terrible another moment. That's the reason why I share because, in my Instagram Stories for instance, I'll say, 'I don't feel good today, but I want everyone else to know not to beat themselves up, to be kind to yourself and know that those days happen to everyone.'”
