Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds and wife Aja Volkman are “rebuilding” after separating last April.

She continued, “I know that it's been a crazy road. It's killed us both in so many moments. Last year we killed each other and now we are rebuilding. You can become your worst self in the eye of a giant storm. You almost have to. It's a rite of passage. It's the only road to a better existence. A more mature sense of self. An honest unabashed willingness to die a million deaths just to be sincere. That's what we have done. And now. Honesty. That's all we need.”
Volkman ended the post by saying, “Continue to rip the bandaid off baby. I'll do it with you. I'll walk right through it and love every minute.”

Back in April, Dan announced the split on Twitter, writing, “after 7 beautiful years together, Aja and I's marriage has come to an end. Our children continue to be the most important thing in our lives, & we will continue to co-parent them with all our love.”
During their marriage, they welcomed three daughters: Arrow, 6, and twins Coco and Gia, who turn 2 in March.
Dan and Aja met in 2010 while performing at Las Vegas nightclub Wasted Space. They would eventually release a joint EP. He told L.A. Weekly a few years ago, “It seemed that music was the only link we had. But as we got to know each other on a more personal level, we found that we had so many similarities in our hearts that it was scary. I never had met someone who I connected to so instantly. Everything about her captivated me. I needed to know her.”
