Taylor Swift to Open American Music Awards… and Her Cat Is Not Impressed
Superstar Taylor Swift just announced she's opening the 2018 American Music Awards!
Swift shared the news on Instagram with a special video, but her cat Meredith wasn't impressed.
Mid-announcement… Meredith got up and walked away! Taylor joked, “Don't be too excited about it, my God.”

While Meredith might not be excited, fans will be! The appearance marks Taylor's first award-show performance in nearly three years. Swift will sing “I Did Something Bad,” off her “Reputation” album.
Last month, Swift and Ed Sheeran were out hiking together and joked about how Drake is going to beat both of them in the Favorite Album – Pop/Rock category. Watch the video here.
The American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
