‘American Idol’ Contestants Caleb Lee Hutchinson & Maddie Poppe Are Dating

Last night, “American Idol” top 2 contestants Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe broke some big romance news!
With the help of host Ryan Seacrest, who asked Caleb, “I'm just wondering, is there a special significance to the song when you sing it with Maddie?"
Caleb replied, “She's my best pal. I've known her since Hollywood Week, and she actually happens to be my girlfriend."
After shocking judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan with the dating news, Caleb and Maddie performed a stripped-down version of “Over the Rainbow.”
They held hands and gazed into each other's eyes during the performance.
Maddie went on to win "American Idol." Caleb congratulated his love, tweeting, "No one deserved it more than you, babe. I am honored to know you and even more honored to call you mine. Don't forget about me. I love you."
