Mark Wahlberg on the Time's Up Movement, Plus: Jennifer Garner’s Las Vegas Memories
Tuesday night, “Extra's” Mark Wright was on the red carpet at the STX Films event at CinemaCon held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where he spoke with Mark Wahlberg, the star of the upcoming action thriller “Mile 22.”
While he said he was happy to be back in Vegas, Mark admitted, “I'm not the typical Vegas type of guy. I go to bed early.”
Last year, Mark made headlines when it was revealed he earned $1.5 million for reshoots on the movie "All the Money in the World," compared to his co-star Michelle Williams, who made less than $1,000. He later donated his earnings to the Time's Up Movement. Mark said, “We want to continue to make sure that everybody feels that we're having equal opportunity and equal pay for everybody. If there was a discrepancy in what we were doing in making the movie, we have a long way to go. We need to work together to make sure that everybody gets an equal opportunity out there.”
Jennifer Garner was also on hand to promote her upcoming action-thriller “Peppermint,” in which she plays a vigilante avenging the death of her family. She commented, “It was great to be part of the stunt community again,” referring to her years starring in the ABC action spy drama “Alias.”Garner pointed out, “We did shoot an episode of 'Alias' in Caesars Palace, I think, 15 or 16 years ago, so it's really funny to be back. I find Vegas... very Vegas!”
