In the first still released for “Judy,” Zellweger channels the legendary “Wizard of Oz” star in a floral dress.
Variety reports that the movie will focus on Garland’s final years, including her deteriorating health, her management problems, and her relationships. In 1969, Garland died of an accidental barbiturate overdose at the age of 47.
Filming is currently taking place in London.
Finn Wittrock, Michael Gambon, Bella Ramsey, and Gemma-Leah Devereux will join Zellweger in the film, which will be directed by Rupert Goold.
