In the first photo released, Meghan flashes her engagement ring and wears a sheer Ralph & Russo gown, which is rumored to be worth $75,000. In the second photo, Harry and Meghan get up close and personal, with him wrapping his jacket around her.
Alexi Lubomirski was the lucky photographer to snap the precious moments of the lovebirds. He wrote on Instagram, “A huge thank you to His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Ms Markle, for allowing me to take their official engagement portraits.”
He added, “Not only was it an incredible honour, but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple's love for each other. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took.”
Kensington Palace revealed that Harry and Meghan took the photos “earlier this week at Frogmore House, Windsor.”
The palace also released a candid photo of Harry and Meghan holding hands, writing, “As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you. The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives.”

The release of the photos came just one day after Meghan and Harry attended Queen Elizabeth's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children were also in attendance.
Megan and Harry are set to tie the knot in a televised wedding May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
