Is Megyn Kelly Displacing Tamron Hall & Al Roker?
When Megyn Kelly announced she was leaving Fox News in favor of a less lucrative, but more desirable, deal with NBC, it cleared a path for Tucker Carlson at Fox.
On Friday, People magazine reported that Kelly's slide to NBC was doing the opposite for Tamron Hall and Al Roker, whose 9 a.m. slot during the "Today" show is on the chopping block to make room for Megyn.
According to a source, Kelly will either take over the fourth hour of "Today," bumping Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford to 9 a.m., or she will take over Al and Tamron's 9 a.m. slot — but either way, Al and Tamron will not be co-hosting together anymore.
Roker and Hall will still be seen together as part of the 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. team, but the shakeup proved to be unsettling to many on social media, who say they will miss the bubbly duo:
Dear @TODAYshow if u replace Al Roker & Tamron Hall w Megyn Kelly, I, like many others, will drop entire show & watch Good Morning America
