Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is facing some controversy after he reportedly got up close and personal with a Brazilian student named Jady Duarte over the weekend.
DailyMail.com reports Bolt was celebrating his 30th birthday at a club in Barra de Tijuca before later posing for some selfies in bed with Duarte.
Duarte allegedly shared some intimate photos of herself with Bolt to friends on WhatsApp before they hit the web for all to see. Duarte told a local newspaper, "It was not a big deal. It was normal. I’d rather not talk about it — in order not to complicate matters.”
Since the photos went viral, Duarte has also been criticized. She revealed, "It's very negative. I never wanted to be famous, I'm dying of shame.”
As for how they ended up in bed after the club outing, she said, "He sent a security guard to call me over. We spoke quickly. But at that moment I didn't know it was him, because there were many Jamaicans who looked similar."
Duarte was previously dating a drug lord named Douglas Donato Pereira, who was killed by police in a shoot-out in March, according to DailyMail.com. After his death, she wrote on Facebook, "In eternity, I will be with my love the way I always wanted, because in heaven all the time is time to be happy. God will take you in, it's my hope that in eternity I will see you."
Bolt’s public reputation is being tested — he has been dating Kasi Bennett for the past two years. During the Olympics, she was cheering for him on Twitter.
After his rumored cheating, Bennett posted a selfie and responded to a fan, who commented on discovering Bennett as Bolt’s “hot” girlfriend. She said, "I wish there was no discovery, but thank you so much. That's really sweet of you."
