Los Angeles Angels pitcher Garrett Richards was at the center of a hilarious April Fools' Day prank this year.
Richards was out to dinner with fellow players Mike Trout, Jered Weaver, Kole Calhoun and C.J. Cron when a woman approached the table to ask for a selfie… and advice on how to break up with her boyfriend.
Later, a man comes by the table asking Garrett to help with a surprise proposal. He needs to the baseball player to deliver the ring to the table.
Garrett gets the shock of his life when he walks up to the table to find the woman from earlier in the night sitting in the booth! Watch the video to see Richards’ reaction!
The Angels players pulled off the hoax with help from YouTube’s most sensational pranksters, Jesse and Jeana of Prank Academy on YouTube Red.
The video is in celebration of MLB Opening Day on April 4, and the launch of Jesse and Jeana’s new original series "Prank Academy," which premiered exclusively on YouTube Red on March 30, and of course, April Fools' Day.
