Alec Baldwin Weighs in on Presidential Race, Hilaria Updates 'Extra' on Her Pregnancy
It was a New York City date night for Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin last night. The couple, who just announced they are expecting a baby in the fall, stepped out to support “The History of the World in 100 Performances” at Lincoln Center. Baldwin was on hand to celebrate Marlon Brando's performance as Stanley Kowalski in “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Alec played the same part on Broadway in 1992 and on TV three years later.
The actor weighed in on the GOP race for the White House, “I have a lot of friends who are Republicans and they're horrified and sad to see the way it's going.” He added, “The presidency is a television show to a degree and you have to cast it properly, and they're picking the wrong guy right now… If they nominate Trump, Hillary's going to be the president.”
Alec doesn't see politics in his future “It's something to think about, but it's not practical.”
Right now, Alec and Hilaria are busy getting ready to welcome their baby boy. Hilaria is feeling good, saying, “I'm starting to feel a lot better, I'm in my second trimester, I'm feeling much more energetic.” Alec commented, “We're having our third child, she's different every time,” adding, “You decorated that house in a blink of an eye. I'll tell you. It was amazing.”
Hilaria explained, “I'm a big nester. I'm a big nester.” She's also indulging in some cravings, including, “Pasta, pasta, and corn bread.”
The couple has a lot to celebrate. Alec turns 58 this weekend. What does he want? Hilaria told us, “He just wants me.” Alec added, “I said I want to have dinner with you, yeah.”
