Joe & Teresa Giudice’s Emotional Good-bye before He Serves Prison Sentence
Earlier today, “Extra” was there as Joe Giudice said good-bye to his family while making his way to the big house to serve his 41-month sentence for fraud and conspiracy.
Joe and wife Teresa were seen holding hands, kissing, and hugging at their New Jersey home before he got into the car. The couple and their four daughters were joined by their friends and family, who gathered at their house at 7 a.m. Watch!
He turned himself in to prison at noon. His lawyer said in a statement to People, "Joe Giudice surrendered himself to the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix today at 12 p.m. to begin serving his sentence. His brother, his sister and several other members of the Giudice family, as well as myself, were present when he turned himself in to the prison, including Teresa. It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away."
Just hours before he reports to prison, Teresa was spotted shopping and posting new family photos on Instagram, captioning one snap, "My Beautiful Family ❤️.”

On Monday, Teresa threw a going-away party for Joe at Blu Alehouse in Riverdale, New Jersey. An insider told In Touch, "Teresa didn't leave Joe's side the entire night, they were very sweet together. The mechanical bull was brought in to lighten the mood, and it was a big hit with all of the kids. There were plenty of tears and a lot of laughter. Teresa's toast to Joe was especially sweet as she referenced him as her sweet Joey.”
The source added, "Gia, their oldest daughter, also made a very touching toast, promising to help look after the family with mom, Teresa, in Joe's absence. The only thing that matters to Joe is that the family is taken care of. He pulled brother-in-law, Joe aside, and made him promise to step in and fill in for him while he is away. Both Joe's were spotted hugging, and wiping away tears."
The night before Joe was scheduled to go to prison, he spent with Teresa and the girls. The source shared, "They are trying to maintain a positive attitude and not talk about Wednesday. Teresa will be cooking one of Joe's favorite meals. Joe doesn't want Teresa to come with him for the surrender to prison."
