Leonardo DiCaprio and 'The Revenant' Dominate the BAFTAs
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards were handed out Sunday in a ceremony hosted by Stephen Fry at the Royal Opera House in London, with some of the top honorees looking a lot like this year's Oscar front-runners!
"The Revenant" won best film and best director (Alejandro González Iñárritu). Leonardo DiCaprio was chosen best actor for his performance in the film, telling attendees he was "humbled and honored" by the award.
Brie Larson won best actress for "Home," Leo's "Titanic" co-star Kate Winslet won best supporting actress for "Steve Jobs," and Mark Rylance won best supporting actor for "Bridge of Spies."
"Star Wars" newcomer John Boyega won the Rising Star Award, voted on by the public. "I haven't been [acting] for a long time — it's a fluke," he told reporters on the carpet.
