'Shallow Hal' Actor Joshua Shintani Dead at 32
Joshua Shintani, known for his memorable role in “Shallow Hal,” has died. He was 32.
TMZ reports that his mother rushed him to a Kauai emergency room last week where he was diagnosed with an advanced case of pneumonia. He passed away on Wednesday.
Filmmaker Peter Farrelly discovered Shintani while vacationing in Hawaii and cast him in the 2001 comedy starring Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Joshua played a friend of Gwyneth's character Rosemary named Li'iBoy who played the ukulele.
