Taylor Swift Performs in Style Despite Violent Fan Run-In Onstage
One day before the MTV VMAs, Taylor Swift dealt with a scary fan encounter at a "1989" tour stop at Petco Park in San Diego.
Taylor was able to maintain her composure during a performance of her hit song "Style" as four security guards pounced on a fan who had run onto the stage. One guard suffered a broken rib in the struggle.
The fan, 26-year-old Christian Ewing, was able to sneak into the concert and avoid multiple security guards, who had tried to kick him out, TMZ reports.
After he was removed, Ewing was charged with felony, misdemeanor battery, and obstruction. He is still sitting in jail, his bail set at $60,000.
UPDATE: According to police documents, the suspect in Swift's case is believed to also have an outstanding warrant for theft in Florida. His mugshot has been released.
This disturbing incident came just weeks after Taylor was able to continue her show like a pro when a fan tried to grab her in Edmonton, Canada.
For the record, bail was set at $60,000, not the originally reported $35,000.
