Cornrow Row: Amandla Stenberg Comes for Kylie Jenner's Hairstyle
When Kylie Jenner struck a gangsta pose in her new cornrows and posted the image on Instagram with the caption "I woke up like disss," she probably didn't expect criticism from a peer, much less a limited social-media war.
"Hunger Games" star Amandla Stenberg didn't like what she saw, commenting on the photo: "@novemberskyys when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."
Kylie wasn't having it, replying to Amandla, "Mad if I don't, Mad if I do.... Go hang w Jaden or something." Stenberg went to prom with Jaden Smith in the spring.
