Ava DuVernay Clears Up That Major Rumor

Ava DuVernay, whose "Selma" made such an impact last year, has for months been rumored to be the director of Marvel's "Black Panther."

Now, she's setting the record straight:

“It wasn't for me. I loved exploring it, I loved the character, I love that they called me about it, but ultimately, when I delved into it, it wasn't a good match, so I wish them luck."

"Black Panther" is set for a July 2018 release, starring Chadwick Boseman as the superhero.
