Hoda Kotb Says Brian Williams Is Devastated
“Extra” was with NBC “Today Show” host Hoda Kotb at the 12th Annual Woman's Day Red Dress Awards in New York City on Tuesday night, right before news anchor Brian Williams' suspension was announced.
Hoda told us, “Look, I love Brian, and I know that he is devastated by what happened, and I think all of us are really hurt in the news organization, and you know NBC is taking the action that it feels appropriate... and it's one of those things that you just want to get on with your life and move on from it, and we wish Brian well.”
NBC announced its decision Tuesday night to suspend Williams for six months without pay after he admitted that he was not aboard a fired-upon helicopter in Iraq in 2003.
