Rosie Perez Sets Rumors Straight About ‘The View’ and More
"Extra" caught up with "The View" co-host Rosie Perez, who set the record straight on rumors there will be more changes at "The View.”
On the rumors Rosie O'Donnell might be leaving, Perez explained, "I was like, 'Are you not coming back on Monday?' And she said, 'I'll see you Monday.' So it's just rumors... going to happen."
When asked if she was at first intimated by her alpha female co-hosts, she said, "Yes, I was scared to death. I was having this perpetual anxiety attack from when they said, 'Five, four, three, two…' So terrified. I didn't know what I was doing. I was just there. When Rosie started talking about boxing, all of a sudden I went click, hold up, and then I relaxed and that's when I learned -- just relax, just a talk show, have a good time."
Perez also gave her thoughts on the turmoil in Ferguson, MO, "I think this could be a game-changer. It could be a lot of talk because we have done this in this nation before. We talk about things, and things will change and then things stay the same. So this could be a game-changer and it really has to. This is a big challenge for us because something has to change."
As for the sexual misconduct accusations made against Bill Cosby, Rosie said, "That's really difficult. Very, very difficult because you can say on one hand, where there's smoke there's fire. On the other hand, there have been instances where people have been falsely accused. But there are a lot of women, a lot of women who don't know each other. I just hope one of them has their day in court so we will know what the truth is all about."
