Sam Smith Got a Sneak Peek at Beyoncé’s VMAs Performance
British singer Sam Smith was one of the most talked about performers at the 2014 VMAs… next to Beyoncé, that is.
Smith is a huge Beyoncé fan, and he revealed to “Extra’s” Renee Bargh that he got sneak peek at her performance. “We asked her if I could see the sound check and she let me in to see it. I can’t even explain.”
Smith gave an emotional rendition of his hit “Stay with Me” on the show. He lost to girl group Fifth Harmony for the Artist to Watch.
