Michael Jackson’s Son Controversy: Real Dad Steps Forward

Brandon Howard does have a father, but it's definitely not Michael Jackson, says a man claiming to be the 31-year-old's real dad.
Augie Johnson, 65, told TMZ he is 31-year-old's father. He said he had a relationship with Brandon's mom, singer Miki Howard, in the '80s, was in the delivery room when Brandon was born and has remained close to his son.
Johnson insisted Brandon, who now goes by B Howard, had nothing to do with the DNA stunt, supposedly conducted at a lab in Ireland.
The test reportedly used DNA from a dental impression that Jackson gave 30 years ago, and says there is a 99.9 percent chance that Brandon is MJ's son.
TMZ dug into the claims and couldn't find any proof of the facility. Plus, the generic logo that appeared on the documents was also used in the movie “Terminator Salvation”!
Brandon also released a statement to NewsOne.com via his manager, claiming he never authorized the DNA test.
“To my fans, family, and friends, despite recent allegations, I did not authorize the testing of my DNA to be compared to that of the late Michael Jackson nor did I contact TMZ regarding the publication of the story."
He continued, "This spring, I agreed to be a part of a documentary with FilmOn.TV and was asked to give a sample of my DNA. Even though I agreed to this I never expected it to be used in this manner. To this day, I have never claimed to be Michael Jackson's son nor do I have any intention of pursuing the family's estate."
Augie told TMZ that Brandon called him days before the story about the DNA test broke, telling him, "Don't worry about this stuff. You are my dad."
Meanwhile, a rep for Michael Jackson's brothers is calling the DNA test "unfounded hearsay."
