Miley Cyrus Leading the Race for Time's 2013 Person of the Year
Pop star and twerk enthusiast Miley Cyrus is reportedly leading the reader poll for Time Magazine's 2013 Person of the Year award, according to the Los Angeles Times.
As of Wednesday, Cyrus had 28% of the vote for the person who "most influenced the news this year for better or worse." Narendra Modi, a Hindu nationalist is currently in second place with 13.7% of votes.
So how did this happen? Voters are required to vote through Twitter or Facebook, and since Cyrus has spent the majority of the year leading chatter in this arena, we think that may have something to do with it.
The results of the Time poll will be revealed December 6, and he magazine will announce its editor-selected person of the year on December 11.
Internet, get ready.
