'Anderson Live' Debuts with New Live Format, Co-Hosts
Talk show host Anderson Cooper is going live this season with a new name, a new set and plenty of water-cooler moments.
“Extra’s” A.J. Calloway caught up with Cooper to talk about the challenges of hosting “Anderson Live” with guests like Tan Mom, and who his dream co-host would be.
“What's difficult about going live is that things don't go as planned,” Cooper explained. “We had Tan Mom on, and… she doesn't speak in short sentences.”
The journalist and author has an array of popular co-hosts, including Kristin Chenoweth and Kelly Osbourne. Of course, there’s one famous face he would love to add to the co-host mix: Madonna, who appeared on the show last season.
Inviting the superstar to join him, he looked directly into the camera and said, “Madonna, anytime you want to co-host, you'd be more than welcome.”
A.J. also asked Cooper about his decision to come out. “I felt it was important to let people know that there's nothing I'm ashamed about, or unhappy about or trying to hide.”
