Spokesman Doug Wright told BBC News Gibb was able to nod and communicate with his family who has been by his bedside since the 62-year-old fell ill. Gibb contracted pneumonia in his battle against colon and liver cancer.
Gibb's wife Dwina told local paper The Impartial Reporter, she and the whole family have been playing music and singing songs to Robin in hopes of rousing him from the coma.
The singer's website is down because of the high volume of well wishes and prayers from his fans. Dwina thanked his fans for their support.
