Katie Holmes to Appear on 'Mother'
Actress Katie Holmes is headed to TV sitcom land.
The "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" actress will guest star on "How I Met Your Mother" as a woman from Ted's (Josh Radner) past, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Holmes will play the character "Slutty Pumpkin," who was first introduced in Season 1 of "Mother," a woman Ted met and lost touch with after a Halloween party.
Co-creator Craig Thomas said that the role was "literally six seasons in the making" and that he saved Holmes for "perhaps the most classily named character in our show's history."
Holmes' other TV credits include "Eli Stone" and "Dawson's Creek."
"How I Met Your Mother" airs on Monday on CBS.
