Mystery Solved: Michaele Salahi on Journey with Journey Rocker
"The Real Housewives of D.C." star Michaele Salahi has not been abducted, as her husband Tareq claimed on Wednesday. Instead, she has run off with Neal Schon, lead guitarist for the band Journey, reports TMZ.
Tareq called authorities several times in the past 24 hours, insisting his wife had been abducted because she left without taking her belongings.
But Virginia authorities later said Michaele had called them to say she was fine. The police department stated, "She seemed calm, was engaged in conversation, and assured the deputy that she had left the residence with a good friend and was where she wanted to be. Mrs. Salahi advised that she did not want Mr. Salahi to know where she was."
In fact, Michaele was in Nashville on Tuesday to see Schon's show, and is currently with him in Memphis, where Journey is set to perform with Foreigner.
Scoop Marketing, the rep for Journey, confirmed with TMZ that "Nobody kidnapped her and they are in Memphis together."
UPDATE: Tareq Salahi is reportedly devastated over the news his wife Michaele is now with Schon. TMZ says he is telling friends he feels "betrayed" by the Journey guitarist, a once trusted friend. The band recently came to Salahi's winery in Virginia and played for free and even stayed with Tareq and Michaele.
