Actress Scarlett Johansson and photographer Tim Walker enjoyed recreating cinematic stars such as Buster Keaton and Marlene Dietrich, for the June issue of W Magazine.
Johansson explained she and Walker came up with idea over several bottles of champagne. "We had just shot the Moët & Chandon ad campaign together," said Johansson, "and we were sampling the product -- excessively." They soon agreed it would be fun to do a story based on the old classics.
Photographed over 14 hours, it would eventually also include Sarah Bernhardt and Giulietta Masina in Fellini's "La Strada."
