Helen Mirren Talks about Hosting 'SNL': 'I'm Terrified'
"Extra's" Adrianna Costa chatted with actress Helen Mirren at the 2011 CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Mirren earned a career achievement award, and said her upcoming hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live" terrifies her.
"I start on Monday. I'm terrified and really excited," the actress admitted. "Everybody tells me I'm going to have a blast."
Will Mirren do a spoof on her Oscar-winning turn as Queen Elizabeth II in "The Queen"? "No, I won't do the queen. I hope they know that. They probably got 10 skits for me being the queen."
The actress did say she'd do a skit as an older version of Lindsay Lohan when Costa suggested it. "That is a good idea. A little further on in her life."
As for her time in Las Vegas, Mirren said she isn't really a gambler. "I forget whether it's day or night. I love the Cirque du Soleil shows and all these fabulous shows. You see shows like you see nowhere else in the world, really incredible. I'm not a big gambler, but I believe in coming out ahead. I'm cheap, I don't want to give them my money."
Check out Mirren on "Saturday Night Live," April 9 on NBC.
