Lifechangers: Are You 'Searching For' a Loved One?
"Extra" sat down with an investigative genealogist named Pam Slaton, who helps people find their long-lost loved ones. Slaton, who now has her own show on OWN called "Searching For," said she unknowingly set the path of her career after her own search for her birth mother. "I was ill prepared and I did not anticipate it not going well. She [birth mother] was very angry. If my mother didn't want to know me, maybe my birth father did. I was obsessed, I was wounded and needed to make things right for myself."
"Searching For" is an intensely personal account of Pam guiding her clients as they track down loved ones.
