James Franco in Talks for Gotti Film?
At the SAG Awards on Sunday, "Extra's" Mario Lopez caught up with actor James Franco about the rumor he's in talks to be in the Gotti film with John Travolta.
"Strangely, every week there's a new announcement about some other movie that I'm doing, so that is one of them," Franco told Lopez on the red carpet. "I talked to John Travolta about it. He's been meeting with Gotti's son and he's asked me to look at the script, so of course I'm looking at it, but it's very early, nothing official."
Franco is still dedicated to his schooling and finds it "hard to act," especially for a major film. But he is going to do a few more stints on "General Hospital" -- and he really wants Lopez to join him. "Just so you know. I got my mother on it. I got them to shoot an episode at the Museum of Contemporary Art, so if I say I want Mario on, it's gonna happen," the actor laughed. Franco is also set to direct an episode of the soap this summer.
In the meantime, Franco, recently nominated for an Oscar for his turn in "127 Hours," is ready to host the 83rd Academy Awards on Sunday, February 27.
