Early Life
Gabriel Aubry was born in Montreal on August 30, 1976, one of nine children of French-Canadian parents. Between the ages of 3 and 18, he lived with five different foster families.
Being Discovered
In 1995, Gabriel was discovered at a ski resort nightclub on the outskirts of Montreal, and was soon sent to New York for his first photo shoot as a model.

Gabriel opened Café Fuego, a Cuban restaurant in the East Village (rumor has it that he decorated entirely with eBay purchases). The venue is now closed.
