Lindsay Sloane Goofs on Snooki's Poof
Actress Lindsay Sloane, currently starring as Mark Wahlberg's object of affection in "The Other Guys," appeared on CBS' "The Late, Late Show," where she made a slight faux pas.
She and host Craig Ferguson started talking about "Jersey Shore" and, in particular, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her preference for a voluminous hairstyle.
"I can rock the poof," Sloane joked, forgetting that in Ferguson's home country of Scotland, "poof" is a slang term for a gay man. Ferguson let that one hang in the air for a moment -- until Sloane got the joke, laughing, "See, Craig, in America, the poof means something different."
