Mad Maks is in -- and Derek is on the bench. UsMagazine.com reports Derek Hough has temporarily left "Dancing with the Stars" due to illness and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be subbing for him.
Maksim will help Hough's partner Joanna Krupa in rehearsals, but no word on who the supermodel will perform with on Monday night's show.
On Thursday, Hough tweeted about being sick, "I think I'm getting the [flu]." He added, "Woke up with serious sweats... My whole body is aching like crazy I can barely stand up... And I'm coughing like crazy."
The 24-year-old visited the doctor and wrote, "Had a temperature of 104... Had an IV in my arm for 2 hrs... Maks is steppin up for me helpin Jo."
