Melissa Rycroft Engaged!
Just four months after "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick dumped Melissa Rycroft, the "Dancing" queen has agreed to marry her beau, Tye Strickland.
The bride-to-be announced her happy news on ABC's "Good Morning America" today, where she'll be working as a special correspondent this summer. "Sometimes the stars align and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should," Melissa said.
Rycroft also spilled her wedding news on her Twitter, writing, "Guess the secret's out... Thank you all so much for being so great and supportive!! We're soooo excited!"
Strickland proposed to the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader on Friday night. They celebrated with a dinner for 20 at Cretia's restaurant in Texas. "When they walked in, everybody stood up and clapped," a restaurant source dished to Us Weekly, adding that the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant looked "beamingly happy."
According to the source, Melissa, Tye and friends celebrated with champagne until the restaurant closed at 2 AM.
Rycroft starting dating Strickland shortly after Jason broke things off. She explained that the two have been friends for years, but the timing was never right for a relationship until now.
Melissa came in third on the last season of "Dancing with the Stars."
