Where in the World is President Obama?

The First Family kept busy on their trip to France! President Barack Obama and wife Michelle attended the 65th commemoration of D-Day with some of the world's political elite. They also found time to squeeze in some fun trips -- to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Check out the map below to see where they went!

Friday, June 5: Leaving Germany

Barack Obama departs Germany en route to Paris. The President and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had visited Buchenwald, the former Nazi concentration camp where more than 56,000 prisoners died.

Friday, June 5: Touring the Eiffel Tower

The First Family -- minus President Obama -- enjoy a day of sightseeing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Saturday, June 6: Arriving in Caen

The President and First Lady step off Air Force One upon their arrival in Caen. He joined the leaders of Britain and France and hundreds of World War II veterans Saturday to mark the 65th anniversary of D-Day the beaches of Normandy.

Saturday, June 6: Addressing the Crowd

The President delivered a speech before 9,000 people, including 200 U.S. D-Day veterans, at a clifftop graveyard in northern France. This location has become a symbol of America’s sacrifice for Europe’s freedom.

Saturday evening, June 6: Dinner in Paris

The President and First Lady ate at this Parisian restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. They were served water, Coke and table wine to accompany foie gras, lamb, and steak with shallots.

Saturday, June 6: Touring Notre Dame Cathedral

Sunday, June 7: Visiting the Pompidou Centre

The First Family spent 90 minutes inside the museum, and at one point the President was seen waving from a glassed-in walkway that provides a sweeping view of the city.
